Our Invitation
Our dedicated volunteers play a vital role in supporting Jericho Circle, contributing in various ways to foster personal growth and transformation. They participate in Inside Circles, engaging directly with incarcerated individuals in deep, healing conversations; Inside Intensives, providing immersive, multi-day experiences for profound personal work; Outside Intensives, supporting formerly incarcerated individuals in their continued journey of self-discovery; and Outside Circles, facilitating regular group meetings that create opportunity for honesty, accountability, and connection. Additionally, volunteers donate their business expertise by offering administrative support, marketing assistance, and strategic development services, helping to strengthen Jericho Circle’s outreach and operations.

Levels of Involvement
Inside Circles (Inside Correctional Facilities)
Regular peer-led group meetings inside correctional facilities, providing a safe space for deep self-reflection, accountability, and emotional healing.
Locations:
Inside Intensives
Multi-day, immersive workshops held within prisons, allowing participants to engage in deeper personal work and transformation. These intensives are for pre-existing volunteers who have already participated in circles and circle training.
Location:
Outside Community Circles
Ongoing peer-led support groups for returning citizens, providing a safe space for connection, accountability, and personal growth as they transition back into the community. If you are interested, please contact us here.
Locations:

Virtual sessions - held for returning citizens who move out of state and those who are located outside of the area.
Outside Intensives
Intensive retreats designed for returning citizens and volunteers, offering continued support, healing, and reintegration into the community.
Leadership and Organizational Impact
This includes a range of opportunities such as administrative support, marketing, Board involvement, finance, and other professional services that may align with your interests.
Support our organization by improving operational efficiency, enhancing strategic growth, and managing essential areas such as financial oversight, marketing, communications, development, and leadership.
Internships
Hands-on experience within nonprofit management. Ideal for those aligned with our mission and/or pursuing a career in restorative justice, criminology, social work, counseling, and business administration/organizational development. Make an impact with our leadership in our operations.
Facilitation Training
Learn how our circles are structured and how you can take an active role in guiding and supporting transformational journeys of healing.
Leadership Development
A 12 week program to support our volunteers and interns who want to grow their emotional intelligence and management, communication, and leadership skills through mentorship and reflective exercises. This is a national program originally developed as an executive coaching model.
Volunteer Trainings
Volunteers will be offered training in the format of training circles. These will take place on Zoom or in person.
Training circles will also be available to any current volunteers who would like to practice their skills while supporting new volunteers.
The training circles will include learning about and practicing:

What is expected of volunteers who sit in a process circle.

The various aspects of circle structure and how it supports safety, openness and healing.

The fundamental processes for creating and holding safe space.
Training circle dates and locations will be directly communicated to all volunteers as they get scheduled.
